Michael Gribbon serves a Managing Executive Director and is primarily responsible for the leasing of American Real Estate Partners portfolio.
Mr. Gribbon brings over twenty-five years of real estate experience to the company. He brings a broad and varied background to the management team. Mr. Gribbon began his career in 1984 as a broker with Cushman & Wakefield where he specialized in agency representation in the DC and Northern Virginia markets. After a nine year career with C&W, he spent seven years in the REIT industry where he was a senior leasing professional for Carr America during the time that Carr transitioned from a private DC based developer to a national REIT. Mr. Gribbon was subsequently recruited by Equity Office Properties to manage the leasing department. In this role he was responsible for the leasing of EOP’s seven million square foot portfolio of DC and Northern Virginia properties.
Prior to joining American Real Estate Partners, Mr. Gribbon was Chief Operating Officer for WP Commercial, a value-add Development Company backed by the Goldman Sachs-Whitehall Street Real Estate Funds where he was responsible for the overall performance of the Washington office with a primary focus on leasing and acquisitions in the Washington Metropolitan area.
Mr. Gribbon is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in business administration.
